From boyhood on he studied floods—
Both major ones and minor duds.
He soon was the authority
On flooding facts—from a to z.
So when that voice came from the sky,
Well, he was ready: He’d stay dry!
And so he worked from dawn to dark
To build that craft they called an ark.
Then animals came 2 by 2—
But you know this part, through and through.
The voice, the ark, the plants, the game,
And Noah, which was that man’s name.
He really was a clever cat—
And sailed to Mount Ararat.
