Doggerel
Serpentine:
ophidiophobia
Among his
very worst mistakes—
This guy who
feared all kinds of snakes—
Was
thinking that he’d seen some fakes
When he
saw rattlesnakes atop
His bed.
They bit him—wouldn’t stop
Until his
wife called “Help!” A cop
Arrived,
but he was much too late,
It seems
our snake-guy had a date
With
hungry Death. And such is Fate.
