Chewy: phaneromania (biting nails)
While mad for cats, she buys a gross.
While mad for boats, she sails and sails.
While mad for drugs, she takes a dose.
But best of all? She chews her nails.
She chews them down, right to the quick,
In public—private—anywhere.
Her chewing makes her family sick,
But she keeps chewing—doesn’t care.
But then she grows far too obsessed—
And chews all night and chews all day.
She gives herself no time for rest
And soon she'll chew herself away.
