United States of America.
It seems I’m getting close to
home—
Perhaps no more I’ll need to
roam
(In search of verse).
I’ve been around this lovely
land—
Most ev’ry state (I’ve not been
banned—
No need to curse).
Hawaii is the only state
Where I’ve not been (too late?).
(Go in a hearse?)
But all the others? I’ve been
there!
I’ve lived in four (so nice to share).
(Fun to rehearse.)
I love this place—I have to say.
And so I think that I will stay.
(I’m not averse.)
There’s really not another place
Where I could really show my
face.
(There aren’t much worse.)
