No longer is
it Soviet—
They’re
thrilled about it—yes, you bet!
It sits
there on the eastern shore—
The Black
Sea—and there’s so much more
About the
country’s history—
Its varied
rich geography:
From mountains
that seem everywhere—
And swamps
and farmland? They are there.
For farming,
forests have been cleared,
So it is not
what it appeared
To be so
long ago …
I find
That I’ve
got Georgia on my mind!
