A doggerel series
about the countries of the world.
Estonia.
It sits there
on the Baltic Sea
And once had been
a part
Of that
empire called Soviet—
Not noted for
its heart.
’Twas back in
1991—
USSR
collapsed—
And freedom
came with swiftness that
Was some
surprise, perhaps.
Old castles
are distributed
About this
rugged land.
And many
islands join the whole—
Below the high
command.
The economy
is very sound—
They have no
massive debt.
Renewables
are popular.
(A lesson we should get.)
