List #20: (i) craven, (j) blandishment
He was a craven—not a doubt
(He knew what fear was all about.)
And not a single blandishment
Could make that craven cur repent.
And so he hid throughout his days—
Would not abandon milquetoast ways.
Until he finally faced a threat—
And didn’t even break a sweat!
