A tiny town—not far away

From Hannibal,* the town

Where Twain grew up. His stories there

Brought him deserved renown.

But he was born in Florida—

And that small house still stands—

Inside the Twain museum there—

There in the hinterlands.

We drove there once—and saw the place

Where little Sam arrived.

And that museum we toured, as well—

So glad that Sam survived!
