A trip to Willa Cather-land—
Another place now Joyced and Daned.
We drove around the little town
Where she grew up. And up and down
The country roads—through fields of corn—
To empty farms, which Time has worn
Away. The world that Cather wrote
About—her words, her ferryboat
Toward the land of truth and art—
The two cannot be kept apart!
