Boning Up on the Bones of the Body

Hand (f): trapezoid bone

I’ve read this bone’s the smallest in

Our wrists. But it still has a task—

So much of such a thing we ask!—

And it must somehow know just when

That it should function—small and wise!

We rarely ever think of it—

Until the trapezoid is hit—

And then those droplets fill our eyes!
