I had not read the books of Strout
When I read a review
Of Lucy Barton. Afterwards,
I read the others through.
Her style is so remarkable—
Those many tangled tales.
And so some book stores earned from me
Some bucks from "several" sales.
And Olive Kitteridge? Well,
we now
Are streaming that fine show—
And you can see it, too, as well—
It’s there on HBO!
I’ve loved her books—yes, all of them.
But now I am perplexed:
I wonder when on earth I’ll get
To read the one that’s next!
